Now it’s time to meet Debbie Johnson of the Johnson & Associates Team.
Where are you from? How long have you lived in the area? What do you like about the area?
I was born in Eden and now live in Greensboro. We live downtown and enjoy being able to walk to local restaurants and to the park.
How long have you been in the industry? What are your areas of expertise?
I have been licensed to sell Medicare products and long term care products since 1993. I’m an expert in health insurance – Affordable Care Act (ACA or Obamacare) and Medicare products. I have a background in the health field as a registered nurse (RN).
How long have you been with Johnson & Associates? What do you enjoy about working here?
I have been working full-time and with the business for eight years. The environment is peaceful, there’s teamwork and everyone cares about our clients.
What’s commonly misunderstood about insurance? How can you help a customer with this?
The enrollment date for ACA. It is now once a year, from Nov. 1-Jan. 31. The only enrollments allowed after that are for special circumstances, such as life changes or moves.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Exercising. I attend Zumba classes 3-4 times a week. I’m also family-oriented and I enjoy socializing, attending plays and concerts, and meeting people from various cultures and backgrounds.
